Consultations & Bookings

A Consultations is recommended prior to booking any appointment, if you have any unanswered questions from the intake forms. Appointments can be made online with a Booking Deposit of 20%. We encourage you to read our Terms & Conditions. Receipt of your booking deposit by Emphasize Advanced Cosmetic Studio confirms that you have read, understood and agreed to our Terms & Conditions regarding our cancellation policy.

A text message reminder will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you have any medical conditions, allergies, need to rescheduling or cancelling it must be done in writing 48hrs prior to your appointment as per cancelation policy.

Deposits & Pricing

A booking deposit of 20% is required at the time of scheduling your appointment. The remaining fees are due and payable in full on the day of the procedure, Unless a client has a subscription or utilizes Zip pay/Afterpay. Prices include GST, are subject to change without prior written notice, and are correct at time of publishing.

Treatment Journeys

All treatment journey inclusions must be redeemed within 1 year or they expire. All offers shown are exclusive promotions and are not valid with any other offer, discount, or voucher. Offers cannot be cross-redeemed. Not redeemable for cash or products. Non-transferable. No substitutions. Offers are available while stock lasts. Prices are subject to change without notice. No rain-checks. No refunds. Members may cancel at any time by submitting the request in writing and giving 30 days' notice.

Promotional Giveaways

All promotional giveaways have a 30 day Expiry. The giveaway may be gifted, if desired. It can not be exchanged for another treatment/product or cash.

Discount and Reward Coupons

Only 1 discount or reward coupon can be utilized per treatment. Discounts and coupons cant be used on specials only full priced items. Discounts can not be used in conjunction with memberships as they are already heavily discounted.

Cancellations & Non-Attendance

Booking Deposit refunds will only be issued if more than 48 hours written cancellation notice (by e-mail or text) is received, and are subject to a $10 Admin Fee. Clients who simply do not attend or who cancel with less than 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will forfeit their full Booking Deposit.


Please make sure you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are late it will compromise the amount of time the artist has to spend on your procedure, which in turn compromises your results. In the event that a client is more than 15 minutes late, the procedure may be cancelled, you will lose your deposit and a new deposit will need to made upon rescheduling as we are not able to sell this time to another client.

Right To Refuse Treatment: Though it is extremely rare, we reserve the right to refuse treatment for the following reasons:

  • Undisclosed skin condition

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Any behavior which, in the opinion of the technician might compromise the ability to work safely and comfortably toward the desired results, or might disrupt other clients.


Procedural and skin types vary, as does the level of aftercare taken by clients. The outcome of the procedure can be affected by this as well as by the symmetry of the facial features, the skin type and tone, underlying blood vessels etc. Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the best possible result, we unfortunately cannot guarantee results. We will always do our best to rectify or adjust where deemed necessary to get the outcome that you desire. Whatever the outcome, the treatment has been provided, and for that reason we have a no refund policy which is not negotiable. 

Minors & Companions

All of our treatments require the full concentration of your therapist. In the interest of you receiving her undivided attention, as well as hygiene and health & safety reasons, children and minors are not permitted in the studio during skin penetration Treatments. They also unfortunately cannot be left unattended outside of the studio. We therefore request that you make suitable arrangements for off site childcare. 

Companions or drivers are also not permitted in the studio during a consultation or procedure as it is distracting for both you and your therapist. They will be asked to wait in the waiting area.

Please switch off mobile phones and other portable devices for the entire duration of the appointment. Treatments can take several hours and these requests are made in order that you can fully relax and enjoy your treatment, whilst your therapist gives you her best and undivided attention. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated!

faq about treatments

Can I get a peel if Pregnant?

All peels are safe, however I would recommend avoiding the salicylic acid medium and strong peels.

Can I have a mask with Peels?

The only mask I would use after a peel is the papaya enzyme mask or collagen cream mask.

Can I get IPL hair removal if I have viragos veins or bruises?

I would advise not to treat directly over the area (veins or bruising) as it may cause discomfort for the client and could potentially exacerbate the conditions.

Can I get IPL hair removal if I have active ingrown hairs?

I wouldn’t laser or IPL over active ingrown that are red, inflamed, deep, sore. There is already inflammation present in the skin and adding more
inflammation and trauma to the tissue isn’t safe.

Consider the following to reduce ingrown hairs-

How old is your shaver?

What shaving medium are you using? (ie is it a body wash, shaving cream etc)

What direction are you shaving? – if its super thick hair, sometimes shaving against the hair can again irritate the skin and cause the ingrown.

What are you applying to the skin after the shave?

Are you exfoliating to help minimise the ingrowns?

Are you moisturising to make sure the skin is soft enough to allow the hair to not get trapped?

What is your skin like naturally? – if its naturally drier, we’ve got dead skin cell build up which is trapping the hair.
